About the event

Our Professional Development Workshop for Artists will give you the necessary tools and knowledge to level up your art career. Designed for beginner to intermediate artists looking for ways to better engage art establishments, sell online and present themselves professionally. 

Spread over 3 sessions on Saturday the 20th of April from 9:30am - 5pm 

SESSION 1. BRANDING PHOTOSHOOT with Amanda Hyland

  • Reveal the artist behind your art  Amanda will work with you to capture a unique and professional portrait that you can use for all your promotional needs.

SESSION 2. ARTIST BIOS, STATEMENTS AND PORTFOLIOS with Lucy Allinson.

  • Lucy will be going through three categories within her workshop, first being portfolios. She will be going through the layout of a portfolio, what they should/should not include and within that how to take good quality photographs of your work.   
  • The second and third are artist bios and artist statements, the differences between the two and how to write each one breaking down the steps in order to have the confidence to write them.

SESSION 3. BRANDING AND SOCIAL MEDIA FOR CREATIVES with Jessica Morris

  • Learn how to create your brand as an artist and small business operator in this workshop with journalist and communications specialist Jessica Morris.  Figure out what makes your brand unique, and learn how to cultivate a fulfilling and manageable social media presence to build followers and share your story. Jess will simplify this process for you, and give you easy and practical steps to communicate with a larger audience.
